Singer/Songwriter/Sidewalk Siren

Described as “An extraordinary singer-songwriter with powerful vocals…” (iamedia), and a "sidewalk siren", (Seattle Guitar Circle) melodic and bluesy post-folk artist Niceol Blue describes her music simply as "Red- Headed Acoustica". Defying genres with an acoustic guitar and a powerful voice, she serenades crowds from curbside to club. Born and raised in The Pacific Northwest and currently residing in Seattle, she cites as influences "Everything from Abba to Zeppelin", and swears that music saved her life.

Niceol has written over one-hundred songs to date and has recorded two albums, “Solioquy” ( 2001) and “The Green Soup Sessions” ( 2005). She has played on stage at both Northwest Folklife and Bumbershoot festivals, and can always be found busking around Seattle, usually in The Pike Place Market. She has opened for and played alongside such local and international well-knowns as Artis the Spoonman, Jim Hinde, and Seattle Jim Page. Niceol sells her CDs online, as well as during and after performances. Niceol has been played on college radio in Buffalo, NY, local college and public radio, as well as in Japan!
